Priscilla's Cozy Quilts from Kat & Cat Quilts

Happy Friday, Quilters! I have some tops to show this week from Priscilla, one of CiL's most prolific donors. This first one was quilted by me with a stipple.

This first one came out a little washed out in the photos, but I love the homespun fabrics and the cute panels. It's a great color scheme, too.

Next up, this more modern looking top from Priscilla was quilted by Meloney on her long arm.

Thank you, ladies! This one is a BIG quilt.

And lastly a couple more I did the quilting on. I have been working recently ...

Anonymous Quilts from Kat & Cat Quilts

Happy Friday, quilters! All three of the quilts in this post were sent in anonymously, I'm not sure if that was on purpose or a mistake. So if you see one of your tops here please claim it!

This patriotic top was sent to long-armer Mel to finish and she used a great meandering star design. I really like the creative layout and use of the blocks.

These next two tops I believe came in together, also without names. They were sent to be quilted by long-armer Wendy. Both are very generously sized and Wendy did an great job ...

Longarmers to the rescue from Kat & Cat Quilts

Hello! This week I have a couple of tops completed by Covered in Love's devoted long-arm quilters. First this pretty, sweet top was sent in by Holly and quilted by Linda. There are lots of strawberries in the fabric and it makes me think of the strawberry shortcake dolls from years ago.

This quilt is a very generous size, so I was very grateful to be able to send it to a longarmer instead of wrestling with it on my machine.

Next is a top by Becky.  Some of you may remember that Becky drove to meet me ...

Love 4 Longarmers from Kat & Cat Quilts

Jo's top quilted by Kay and Denise

Happy Friday quilters! I finally woke up at sunrise on one of my days off to take quilt pictures before the sun got blindingly bright and hot.  It's full summer already and it's only June! This post is full of quilt tops that were donated and sent to longarmers to be quilted, so they are mostly very large.

Top by Karen M's friend, quilted by Kay and Denise

In this heat it's hard to imagine snuggling under a quilt, but I just delivered another 20 the one of ...

Opening 2021 with Quilts from Kat & Cat Quilts

Here we are in 2021 at last.  My neighbors brought in the year with a huge amount of artillery! (The kitties were not impressed.) It remains to be seen if this year will be much better than last, but we can hope!

At the very least we can start the year off with some beautiful quilts. This batik tumbler was sent in by Jan O. and quilted by Meloney with loops.

This fantastic top was sent in by Kelly C. and also quilted by Meloney.  It's far to big to hold for a picture of the entire thing!  Kudos ...

Big Quilts Back from the Longarm from Kat & Cat Quilts

Happy weekend everybody, we made it through another week, and almost through another month!  I recently got a couple of quilt back from Mel, a longarmer in Central Texas who donates her talents to Covered in Love

This blue nine patch top came from Carolyn and is at least partially handstitched! Carolyn also sent in two other, large, handpieced tops that Mel finished you can see here.

I love to share stories of the impact that CiL quilts have with you all whenever I can. Chaplain Perry recently texted me this story to pass along:

Four years ago would have ...

Handstitched Wonders from Kat & Cat Quilts

Happy Friday, stitchers! Carolyn sent in these extremely large quilt tops a while back and I sent them to Meloney who long armed them.  I just got them back, all ready to go to the hospital for Covered in Love!

These tops were handstitched! They're on the order of 110" x 95", which made them hard to photograph, particularly with the weather we've been having lately.

These will be a real comfort to some families at the hospital soon.  And with the cold weather we've been having lately they'll be especially nice to have at home ...
